Blogs That Don’t Make Money
The best bloggers don’t worry about making money from their blogs, according to Copyblogger.
- Darren Rowse doesn’t make his money from Problogger.
- Brian Clark doesn’t make his money from Copyblogger.
- Chris Brogan doesn’t make his money from his blog, either.
- Neither does Sonia Simone.
There are many, many virtues to a popular blog: social proof, credibility, enhanced visibility. They’re good for forging new business contacts and partnerships. They’re good for attracting potential customers for the products you’ll make or services you’ll provide.
As a good blogger, you can gain credibility by being a guest blogger and building strong relationships as a result
Once a strong following has been created, then the blogger can provide products, services, courses & advertising all of which can earn money.
A great example is Chris Norton. He has been a top 15 UK blogger and built a strong following as well as huge credibility. As a result he is now successfully launching his new Tweasier product for Twitter. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet Chris recently and have both given feedback on his new product as well as agreed to write a guest blog. This way we both win.

Thanks Martyn, that is very kind. I have been blogging for years mainly because I love it. My new Twitter application was an idea I had to make an application that gave people the opportunity to tweet, search, manage and then generate reports from. We have a really big update taking place next week which will refresh all of the analytics section and a very exciting new feature which is being added which will be really useful for people who use Twitter a lot. I will drop you a line as soon as its ready. Development sadly does take time. Thanks Again. Chris
